Brandalism/ Subvertising: Residency. Reclaiming public spaces, challenging perceptions and viewpoints. A collective of art activists challenge the mainstream perceptions of cities, corporations and the power of advertising.
Brandalism worked with friends from around the world to establish the Subvertisers Internationalon May 10th 2016– a new network of artists and activists in 10 countries around the world. Its trans-national network uses the twin strands of activism DNA – creativity and civil disobedience, to imagine a world beyond consumerism.
Brandalism received funding from our first year's round to enable SI's inaugral networking week which brought together artists from Australia, Europe, Spain, UK and USA.
