They create intimate spaces of visibility and exchange with marginalised communities they belong to. Future Ventures has granted Jet funding to develop design work for an artists’ book using interviews, photographs and archival material collected as part of ‘Resilient and Resisting’, an oral history and collaborative storytelling project which took place in 2018-19. These fierce, intimate, collaborative stories, D.I.Y. histories and interviews, produced as part of Resilient and Resisting are from people at the intersection of disability, queerness, kink, sex work, and survivorship. Documenting their rich social and cultural heritage, and history of activism and community-building; while giving insight into the function of stigma in social change. The original year long project Resilient and Resisting was produced with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund and Arcola Participation.
Jet will work in collaboration with designer Ola Podgorska.
