Stella Grundy is a solo artist and performer and was front woman and songwriter to seminal band Intastella. A cutting-edge Mancunian actor, playwright and producer, her work concerns people on the edge of our society.
The author and producer of multimedia, music and theatre productions which gained multiple awards and nominations included being voted amongst the top five plays from Manchester by City life for The Rise & Fall of a Northern Star. A unique and incendiary show interspersed with Stella’s original music and Nico Icon Play an ambitious stage show about Nico (Velvet Underground) Both productions completed several national sell out tours and received rave reviews.

In music she has recorded six albums achieving top ten status in Japan and Germany.
Most recently co producing and releasing the concept albums The Rise and Fall of a Northern Star and The Rise and Fall of a Northern Dubstar. They received critical acclaim and radio play including BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour, BBC Radio 6 Music, BBC Radio 2 , BBC Manchester, XFM and the M.E.N , Soho Radio, US Dance stations.

Currently Stella is working and experimenting in 2D Art and developing a script which is based on actual historical events blended with magical realism. It jumps back and forth through time and parallels can be drawn with our reality today. Part stage play, novel and animation, this will be her most ambitious project to date.
