Legacy Poetry Anthology Showcase by Writers at Play
24/11/2021Legacy Poetry & Equal Arts present: Legacy Poetry Anthology Showcase by Writers at Play
Eventbrite booking here!
Writers at Play are a creative writing group of elders from across the world, from London to Coventry to the USA. They have been working on building an anthology full of life experiences, life lessons and wisdom over the last 8 months.
To experience their wisdom and depth join our zoom showcase & absorb their words and spirits, come for poetry you can sit inside, come for community, come to respect your elders, come to learn something about them, and about yourself.
Thank you to Future's Venture & Equal Arts for making this project possible & to Daisy Barrett-Nash for leading the group.
A special thanks to the guest artists that came to help Writers at Play to get performance ready & to the members of Writers at Play for encouraging one another, bringing their authentic, joyous selves & sharing their experiences so freely.
Explored, examined, dissected
Our emotions from afar
Discovered the joy in each other
What more could we want sister and brother?
Insightful tales we have told
Our lives unfolded forever to behold
Oh Wendy, Joseph, Tina, Tony, Bettsy, John, Jo and Loraine
Our meeting of minds runs tempered
A la Daisy’s refrain
- Anne Sweeney
